CRISPERANTO: THE QUENTIN CRISP ARCHIVES

QUENTIN CRISP IN BLACK AND WHITE
Photographs by Martin Fishman (1937 - 2010)

VIGNETTE FIVE

Quentin delighted in being before the admiring pubic. One picture presents him in action before his admirers, believed to be at New York’s LGBT Center on 13th Street. Quentin was “on” even in his room and once in public as demonstrated the other images in this vignette’s grouping, especially when wearing his Godiva’s “Mother’s Day” scarf given him by Charles Barron and Phillip Ward. The last picture in this vignette is very special in that it provides Mr. Crisp in his most comfortable spot: on the stage set of “An Evening with Quentin Crisp”.
